Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of innovative leadership in the development of tourism of Bukit Tawap in Pagarbatu Village. The main focus is on how innovative leaders can motivate and guide local stakeholders, including communities, in implementing creative ideas and facing change in the tourism context. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through observations, interviews, and documentation. Mount Tawap is an example of how innovation in leadership can bring positive change and empower local communities. The applied leadership innovation is capable of addressing capital and financing challenges through smart resource management strategies as well as sustainable business models. The main obstacle in the development of Mount Tawap is funding, but the patience and perseverance of the village leader as well as the active participation of the community are determining factors in the success of this project. thus creating a sense of ownership and coexistence, which ensures that innovation fits their needs and aspirations. The success of Mount Tawap is a concrete proof that the innovation is not just a discourse, but is truly realised and provides real benefits to the society. Overall, this study shows that innovative leadership is crucial in tourism development, especially in addressing the various challenges that exist. By continuing to develop sustainable tourism products and empowering local communities, Bukit Tawap tourism is expected to continue to grow and provide maximum benefits for all involved.
