Abstract

This research examines Timor Leste's strategy in joining ASEAN as its 11th member, highlighting the country's commitment to regional integration and efforts to overcome the challenges it faces. This research explores Timor Leste's diplomatic initiatives, active participation in regional cooperation, and its contribution to regional stability and prosperity.  This research analyzes Timor Leste's efforts to address concerns expressed by several ASEAN members, especially Singapore, regarding economic readiness and stability. This research was conducted using a library study method, until the findings show that Timor Leste's success in joining ASEAN marks an important milestone in its relations with Southeast Asia, opening up new opportunities to strengthen its position in the region, increase economic and political cooperation, and contribute to peace and stability in the region. that region. This research also highlights the importance of further research to further analyze the impact of Timor Leste's membership on various aspects, including economic, political and socio-cultural dimensions.
