ANALYSIS OF INCOME FROM MILKFISH (CHANOS CHANOS) FISH FARMING BUSINESS IN SEGORO TAMBAK VILLAGE, SEDATI DISTRICT SIDOARJO REGENCY, EAST JAVA

Abstract

This research aims to determine the income of milkfish pond farming in Segoro Tambak village, Sedati District Sidoardjo Regency, East Java. The sampling method in this research was 20 farmers who farmed milkfish ponds. The sample size for milkfish pond farming in Segoro Tambak village in this study was 20 farmers who were respondents. Sampling was carried out by means of (Census), where the entire population was also sampled in this study because the population was limited. The data collection method that will be collected in this research is in the form of a questionnaire and documentation method. The researcher explains it as follows: Questionnaires are used for qualitative and quantitative research. This documentation method can be used to systematically and objectively explore past data, semiotic framing, discourse analysis, qualitative content analysis. Qualitative is data that cannot be calculated and is not in the form of numbers that can be quantified, including farmer income, where the function of farmer income is both farmer - owners and sharecroppers. Quantitative is data that can be calculated, namely data in the orm of numbers that can be quantified, including output data, from the income process of milkfish pond farmers, production costs and variable costs obtained from production factors. The data analysis used is quantitative data analysis using the formula TC = FC + VC, TR + P.Q, Pd = TR-TC. The results of the research show that the income from milkfish farming in Segoro Tambak Village is profitable. Where, the average production produced by milkfish pond farmers is 3,450.45 kg/year per cycle with an income of IDR 26,870,730/harvest in one cycle.
