ANALYSIS OF INCOME AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF VANNAMEI SHRIMP FARMING AT UD. JAYA BERSAMA, BANJARSARI VILLAGE, CERME SUBDISTRICT, GRESIK REGENCY
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the income level and development strategies of vannamei shrimp farming at UD. Jaya Bersama, located in Banjarsari Village, Cerme Subdistrict, Gresik Regency. The research employed a case study method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The income analysis used the formula of revenue minus total cost, while strategy formulation was based on SWOT analysis. The results indicated that the vannamei shrimp farming business generated an average income of Rp 35,000,000 per production cycle. Strengths included land availability and farmer experience; weaknesses involved high feed costs and limited access to capital. Opportunities emerged from high market demand and government support, while threats included price fluctuations and disease outbreaks. The suggested development strategy is an aggressive one that utilizes strengths to seize opportunities. This strategy is expected to increase production efficiency, ensure sustainability, and strengthen the business's competitiveness in both domestic and international markets
