FAKTOR-FAKTOR SOSIAL EKONOMI YANG MEMPENGARUHI KESEMPATAN KERJA DAN PRODUKTIFITAS PETANI TOMAT SAYUR DI DESA PENGALANGAN, KECAMATAN MENGANTI, KABUPATEN GRESIK

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Determine how many job opportunities can be created by planting tomato vegetables in Pengalangan Village. (2) Determine the impact of land area, amount of raw materials and cultivation patterns on job opportunities for tomato farmers in Pengalangan Village. (3) Determine the impact of socio-economic factors (level of education, agricultural experience, cosmopolitanism, number of families and land area) on the productivity of tomato farmers in Pengalangan Village. This study was conducted in Pengalangan Village, Menganti District, Gresik Regency. The determination of the research area was done purposively. The sample for this study were farmers who planted tomato vegetables. Sampling was done by simple random sampling. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The first result in this study was that the number of job opportunities created by planting tomato vegetables varied from sample land to sample land, from the lowest sample land of 15.4 HKP/year to 315.3 HKP/year. Factors such as land area, cultivation patterns and amount of raw materials also have a significant effect on job opportunities for tomato farmers. The influence of socio-economic factors (level of education, farming experience, cosmopolitanism, number of family members, land area) has a significant influence on the productivity of tomato vegetable farming.
