PERAN GABUNGAN KELOMPOK TANI (GAPOKTAN) DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI DI DESA KEDANYANG KECAMATAN KEBOMAS KABUPATEN GRESIK

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) the role of GAPOKTAN in enhancing member knowledge, (2) the role of GAPOKTAN in changing farmers' mindsets, (3) the role of GAPOKTAN as an intermediary for fulfilling members' farming capital needs, (4) the role of GAPOKTAN as an intermediary for fulfilling members' farming capital needs. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research are GAPOKTAN administrators, GAPOKTAN members, village heads, and community members who are not GAPOKTAN members. Data collection utilizes observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The researcher is the main instrument in conducting the research, supported by observation, interview, and documentation guidelines. The techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Triangulation is carried out to explain data validity using various sources.The results of the study indicate that: (1) The role of GAPOKTAN in increasing knowledge through meetings of farmer group administrators from GAPOKTAN Kedanyang, (b) Farmer group meetings attended by GAPOKTAN administrators and PPL as resource persons. (2) The role of GAPOKTAN in changing the mindset of GAPOKTAN members is comparative studies, Skills Training, (3) GAPOKTAN coordinates the needs of GAPOKTAN members through farmer groups to obtain agricultural inputs and Gapoktan helps with LKM-A to facilitate farmers who need capital. (4) GAPOKTAN's efforts in coordinating agricultural results or production in order to obtain higher selling value are by working together with KUD and traders to buy agricultural products with selling values ​​that provide benefits to farmers,
