The farm sector in Sidoarjo Regency is also reasonably crucial in supporting regional economic growth. Water spinach is a vegetable that most people in Indonesia widely consume. Reviewing the enormous potential of water spinach vegetables in Indonesia, Sidoarjo Regency has great potential in making water spinach a superior regional commodity. Determining the superiority of commodities in each sub-district in Sidoarjo Regency can be done using the Location Quotient (LQ) method. Based on the differences in potential in each sub-district, mapping is needed so that the potential of water spinach can be described visually using the Geographic Information System method. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it was found that most areas in Sidoarjo Regency are the base sector for water spinach commodities. These sub-districts include Tarik, Krembung, Prambon, Tanggulangin, Candi, Tulangan, Wonoayu, Sidoarjo, Buduran, and Balongbendo. The percentage of areas in the base sector reaches 55.55%. The base sector indicator is obtained from the calculation value of LQ> 1. The LQ value>1 indicates that the water spinach commodity in this sub-district is able to meet the needs of its region and is also able to supply the needs of other areas.
Ahmad Haris Hasanuddin Slamet, Sekar Ayu Wulandari, Asmunir Asmunir, Cindiah Syahnaz ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://jurnal.uwp.ac.id/fp/index.php/agriwitas/article/view/112 Thu, 24 Apr 2025 00:00:00 SE Asia Daylight Time Factors Influencing Food Security Of Fishermen Households (Case Study: Tanjung Village Pademawu District Pamekasan Regency) https://jurnal.uwp.ac.id/fp/index.php/agriwitas/article/view/113
This study aims to identify food consumption patterns, analyze food security levels, and examine factors influencing food security in fishermen households in Tanjung Village. Respondents in this study were 41 people. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis, food expenditure proportions, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the largest consumption pattern is from carbohydrates. The food security of fishing households in Tanjung Village is 55% and was in the food secure category. Variables that influenced food security are family dependent and the price of rice. Suggestions for the government are expected to provide education regarding the importance of nutritional knowledge and food consumption, while fishermen are expected to have alternative jobs other than going to sea because their income is uncertain every day.
Novi Diana Badrut Tamami, Yolanda Wulandari, Mokh.
