PENGARUH KOMPETENSI DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI PASCA PENYEDERHANAAN BIROKRASI PADA SEKRETARIAT DAERAH KOTA PROBOLINGGO
Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of competency and work motivation on employee performance after bureaucratic simplification at the Sekretariat Daerah of Probolinggo City. This research is explanatory research using a quantitative approach. The total sample of 56 employees was selected through stratified random sampling. Data collection used a direct survey method with a questionnaire instrument. Data collection was carried out through a survey method using a Likert Scale-based questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The research results show that all items in the research instrument are valid and reliable, and fulfill all classical assumptions, including normality, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests. The main findings show that competence and work motivation have been proven to have a positive and significant effect on performance, both partially (t-count competence = 9.209; motivation = 5.846; p < 0.001) and simultaneously (f-count = 61.415; p < 0.001). The Coefficient of Determination (R²) value of 0.699 indicates that 69.9% of the variation in performance is explained by these two variables.
