ANALISIS PENGARUH BEBAN KERJA DAN LINGKUNGAN KERJA TERHADAP TURNOVER INTENTION KASIR OUTSOURCING MELALUI KEPUASAN KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PADA PEGADAIAN AREA SURABAYA
Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of workload, work environment, and job satisfaction on turnover intention, as well as to analyze the role of job satisfaction as an intervening variable for outsourced cashiers at Pegadaian Area Surabaya 1. The study employed a quantitative explanatory approach with a sample of 64 outsourced cashiers from Pegadaian Area Surabaya 1. The results of the study show that a challenging yet reasonable workload has a significant and positive effect on job satisfactio, a good work environment significantly increases job satisfaction, workload has a significant direct effect on turnover intention, work environment has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, where a poor perception of the work environment increases employees’ desire to leave, job satisfaction has a significant and positive effect on turnover intention, as it may reflect career aspirations or a mismatch between job expectations and reality. Workload directly affects turnover intention without mediation by job satisfaction, work environment directly affects turnover intention without mediation by job satisfaction.
